GAANN Fellowship: Advanced Manufacturing for Extreme Environments

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) is recruiting highly–motivated doctoral students to become part of a team researching the latest science and technology in the area of advanced manufacturing for extreme environments. This broad topic includes mechanics, fluids, materials, manufacturing, and control systems research for robotics, 3D printing, hypersonics, and space manufacturing. Students may pursue PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering under this program.

Missouri Manufacturing Academy

Missouri S&T is starting another year of the Missouri Manufacturing Academy, and school districts throughout the state with after-school programs or career courses are invited to apply to participate. The academy will begin on Thursday, Sept. 26 in Rolla with field trips to tour local industry partners’ facilities. Students will also visit Missouri S&T’s Center for Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies and take part in other on-campus activities related to manufacturing.
